The Importance of Prayer

Prayer is the way of communication where Christians talk to their God. When Christians speak to God, God in turn speaks to His people. Prayer must be a two-way communication, not a monologue.
When you ask anything from God through prayer God answers back to your prayer. This means that God is sometimes a receiver of our prayers whilst at the same time He is the sender of our answers.
Like what happens in modern days, one can phone someone who is in the United States and communicate together. You cannot enjoy if you phone someone who is in the United States and that person only listen and not answer you back. The same thing must not be pleasant to you if you pray and God does not answer.
I am glad because God answers our prayers. This is why we as Christians prioritise prayer because this is our only way of communicating with our Creator.
Even Jesus, the son of God prayed and showed us the way. In Mathew 14: 23 the bible says, “And when Jesus had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening has come, he was there alone.”
In order to have our prayers answered and experiencing our breakthroughs we need to live a holy life as the bible says, “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight…. The Lord is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous” (Proverbs 15:8 and 29).
There is a long winding debate on how people position themselves during the time of prayer. The truth is that there are many position one can take when praying.
Pictures of people’s position during prayer.

Kneeling, lying down and even walking are part of these position
